We are all waiting on the Google Page Rank update but probably none more so then Mr. John Cow. About two months ago a parody site to the infamous blog John Chow Dot Com was created. Many if not all of my readers know about this blog, it is called: John Cow Dot Com. Chow had two supercars as headers and Cow had two blue cows. The site took off and although the traffic and income of Cow is still far behind Chow, the amazing fact is that it is well on track to actually catch up to ‘the preacher’.
Page Rank is not the be all and end all, but it does show and help dictate how much you can sell text links for and how highly the search engines rank you. So I decided to compare a 2 month old ‘cow’ blog with a year old ‘Chow’ blog and the findings are very interesting:
John Chow looks set to drop to a 5, and amazingly, a 2 month old Parody blog, John Cow, looks set to get a PR 6, making it higher then the one it is copying!
This blog purchased a link on John Cow about 6 weeks ago as we knew that the site is taking off, but wow, PR 6!
We are looking like getting a PR 4 and our domain was only registered 39 days ago, so no complaints from this end either! Good times, Good times.
