BlogRush Results So Far!
Sep 25th, 2007 by Colin Klinkert
As you may know, John Reese created a new blog widget called BlogRush. What blogrush does is earn you credits every time you show the widget with a block of 5 headline ads in it. Not just that but you earn credits from your referrals and so on down 10 levels! Well, It has been going for around 10 days and now seems like as good a time as any to display my stats and credits.
The credits shown per day are picking up in speed, but I am earning way more credits then are being shown each day, so my reserves are building up, a nice position to be in:

As you can see there are 780 bloggers in my network (10 level downline) and I have over 475,000 credits stored up still!

So far 40,000 impressions have been shown of my headlines (They have not been riveting headlines to be honest) and the CTR (click through rate) is sitting at just over 0.1%. That is a low CTR but in 10 days Blogrush has led to 54 clicks where my headlines have not been very interesting and many people don’t have the widget placed in the most ‘clickable’ position on their blog. As the credit showing per day increases, so too does the number of clicks. I am expecting to get over 200+ clicks a month from BlogRush based on the current trend (13 clicks today alone which is still not over) and would I suggest that it is worth having?
Hell, of course, it opens in a new window so does not take visitors away from your site, it is viral and will continue to grow on autopilot and it sends you free traffic. Maybe for large blogs that have potential real estate being taken up by the widget, more thought would be required, but on the whole, with big blogs finding space for it, even for them it must be worth it: See John Chow and ShoeMoney for examples.

How did you get so many people to sign up under you? You have way more credits that anyone I know of so far. That is awesome. Just wondered how you did it?
I got a few ‘big hitter’ blogs under me, cause as you can see, my blog is still new and traffic still quite low, so almost all my credits are from my downline
